Any way to pre-assign teams to a tournament?

Before I go the custom code route and try to implement it myself around the theme’s structure:

Is there any way to design a tournament (with or without preset matches and whatnot) to have teams automatically assigned to the future tournament?

Essentially, if we wanted to run a “losers” bracket after a bunch of teams fall out of the first tournament, is there any way to auto-add them to another tournament in the future, and only allow them to be in it?

Any code snippets or functions to achieve this in a custom form I could build would be very helpful. Thanks!
