error 500 with import demo data

I purchased and installed BlackFyre on a fresh install of wordpress. I activate all included plugins, and navigate to Appearance > Import Demo Data. I click the Import Demo Data button and wait a few moments and it takes me to a 505 Error page. I’ve seen other posts mention to disable w3c plugin, but I do not have that plugin installed, only what was included with the BlackFyre theme. any ideas?
