Registration of a New User procedure problems & projects not showing up on all projects page

Firstly thanks for creating a great theme. 

We have 2 problems at the moment, 

1 – We are creating test users using settings “Anyone can register + contributor” , the email sends a password but gives us wp-login as the login link, then we arrive at a page giving “You do not have permissions to access this page” message. IF we tray and login using the front end web site we get a server error and a page that does not exist.

2 – If we create a project and activate it it does not show on our “All Projects” page, we have set the number of projects to show on this page to ‘8’ .
