Split: Arcane 1.7 install issues

Hello , i started today on Arcane trying to set it up and am getting

This page isn’t working

HTTP ERROR 500

this error right after i press activate , i tried uploading from ftp and directly from wp upload , the upload gives me a different error saying couldn’t upload.

WP 4.8.3 latest version or arcane downloaded 3 days ago .
