wpDiscuz Plugin doesn't work

Hello,
I’ve searched this forum and no luck finding a solution. So I downloaded the wpDiscuz comment plugin from the depository and when I go to activate it, the wpDisuz does not show up in the project page’s comment section. It does show up in the standard WP posts and pages though, but not the fundingpress custom post type.

Is there a trick to get this plugin to work on the project page custom post type?
