Setup questions

Hello, I just bought this theme and had some questions (you can see the dev version of my site at roa.cloudmasterstudios.com)

1. On the blog page, how can I get a full post (or a longer excerpt)?
2. On the blog page, how can I have an image sow for the blog post? I tried using featured image and nothing.
3. The search function doesn’t seem to search pages, only posts
4. How do I setup the slider like you have it in the demo – where it is in between the header and the body?
5. Is there an easy way to increase body font size without using child theme?
