Override Function in Child Theme

Hello everybody,

I want to override the function “kriesi_pagination” in my Child Theme.
Using a Child Theme is the correct way to override the Parent Theme. So it stays updatable.
When I override the function in my functions.php the Website crashes.
This is because in the Parent Theme it is not checked if the function already exists.
Is there a chance that You can wrap the most important functions with a “function_exists” wrapper?
