Home page widgets

Hi guys,

I can’t seem to get homepage widgets to show up in my customizer, though it’s in my Widget management section on the back end.

My home page is not coming together like I wanted it, I can’t seem to do anything, add different sections, or different news categories.

I can’t add the right popular posts column: Shot 1
I can’t create different blocks for different topics: shot 2
I can’t seem to create an owl slider: shot 3
I don’t see where to even add in a resent/latest posts column on the right because I can’t use any homepage widgets: shot 4
And last thing, the top slider, there seems to be no place to edit it, any advice for that? Shot 5

Please help! I don’t think this should be this difficult.
