Text fade heads up/fix

I’m pretty much new to webdesign/css/wordpress. So I could’ve missed something going through options. Pretty much I had my letters set up on default. All coloring stuff I could find on dashpanel/ubermenu panel were clear. So black lettering, and for some reason it would fade to white on hover. When I asked Ubermenu about this, was the response. I just went into the main CSS and deleted the color:white bit and refreshed my cache. If someone could point out the “proper” way to fix it that would be great but just letting anyone know if they come across the same. Nothing against Zorz, from what I see they’re on top of their game. I’m just monkeying around with a tool I don’t know much about XP
