Do i always need an api from paypal to go live?

Hi I am having alot of trouble going live sand box is working all fine but I have tried so many things to go live and it does not work. Can i use woocomerce with the id token? If so am i meant to set the shopping cart page to a different name then shopping cart?
the error i get is when i try to submit the funds. any help would be great as it is not clearly explained any where that i can see. The people at paypal are very slow to respond in regards to the api, and i would like to go another way if possible. thanks
