Slider issues not working

On the fundingpress demo site the Projects Page Builder block was
used to show a set of 3 slider projects and 2 rows of 4 static projects
under the Latest Projects heading.  I built a homepage template and
applied the same setup but instead of the slider projects appearing
side-by-side with arrows, they appear in a column one above another, the
arrows are positioned on the Project Highlights title and just doesn’t
work.

Here are the setttings:
    Excluded categories: <blank>
    Title: Latest Campaigns
    Pick display option: Show both   Insert number of slide posts: 3  Insert number of static posts: 8

I haven’t modified the styles or performed any custom code, just trying to get the basics to work out of the box.
