Post categories/news blog

There must be something I am missing.

My homepage is functioning perfectly. My other pages are not filtering my posts correctly. For instance, “PC” would have posts/articles specifically about PC and “Xbox One” would have articles/posts about Xbox One.

As of now all my pages are showing all of the same articles. They are all showing the same, most recently created articles.

In what way do I need to create articles in order for them to properly filter in the news blogs? As of this moment it seems the only categories that are filtered are portfolio categories…but not post categories.

I was able to find ID numbers for portfolios…but I cannot find ID numbers for regular posts, no matter what category I set them as.
