Buddypress installation – bugs bugs bugs

I purchased this theme with the hopes that it would be functional enough to support a large base of members, and be functional and fluent, however I now see this will be nearly impossible.

First off, I installed BuddyPress and added a Log-In widget into the Right Bar (which didn’t work)

Secondly, I clicked on the Profile page and got this: http://i.imgur.com/YcNEyom.png

I want to know did I install BuddyPress wrong, or am I stuck with the broken theme?
