Layerslider transition text effect issue

Using the current version of Oblivion / Layerslider 5.  I modified one of the demo sliders to do exactly what i need at this point – only issue is that the title and excerpt fields on each slide flash the values in those fields on the next slide before they fade out on the current slide; as if the values on the next slide are loading, then hidden again just before the fade out effect of the current slide.  This only seems to happen on the first pass through the slides; on any pass thereafter it looks fine.  This occurs whether or not I’m preloading or not in the slider settings.  You can see the behavior in the slider on the homepage currently…
