How to recreate the Oblivion Demo Slider?

I have been attempting to recreate the demo slider for hours. I want my slider to look like this but instead I get something like this

Is there any way I can get the slider out of the div code that the main page is in? I don’t want that border around my slider. I would like it how it is in the demo.
