Problems with Slider & Visual Composer

I’ve been attempting to create a recent posts slider that automatically adds slides, I’ve read and re-read the tutorial and it looks like I’m doing everything right but the slider will not load nor will anything else below it (this means no posts, footer, etc.)

I’ve also tried creating a manual slider but it’s not working either.

Visual Composer (VC) was working just fine earlier, but now I can’t get it to load.

When I go to edit my pages, I end up with nothing in the text box and a broken version of the VC with links that don’t work as can be seen in the attached screenshot.

What can I do to get my slider to display and to restore functionality to VC?
