Can't Create Portfolio Entries

Hi,
Whenever I try and create a new portfolio entry the drop down for Sidebar Position is blank and nothing happens when I press the down arrow and every new entry posts as a blog entry with “side-bar-right” as the template.

When I edit the pre-made portfolio entries from the demo everything is fine.
