Making a Child theme for Crystalskull theme

Currently I am looking to make a child theme of a website but I’m a bit unsure of how todo this properly. Many videos I have seen tend to skip certain steps or don’t do well describing setting up a child theme. Also Cyrstalskull doesn’t provide an option to make a child theme from what I have noticed.
