Stripe payments not appearing in account test & live

Hi there

I have input the Stripe credentials and am able to enter card information to the point where the Stripe window disappears and the project page reloads with the balance of the project updated to include the amount of the payment but no payment appears in my Stripe account.

Having contacted Stripe I’m informed of the following:

Though you’re creating tokens successfully, there’s still some work left to do. Charging a customer with Stripe is a two part process:

Step 1: You collect a customer’s credit card information with a Checkout or Stripe.js form, which is then sent to Stripe. In return we send back a secure token that you can use to charge the card as outlined in the Checkout guide here:

Step 2: You POST this token to your server and use some back end code to create a customer object or a charge. There’s some more detail on this that should be helpful in walking through this here:

Could you tell me if this is necessary that I should be following the Stripe guides or should these details not be included in the theme?
