Automatic theme updates

I haven’t been able to automatically update the theme w/i WP-Admin for some time, so I wanted to get your opinion before I do it manually; A lot of other theme / plugin providers use the Envato license key as an update mechanic (e.g. you put it in for a particular WP site that uses the files and it shows up in auto updates based on your entitlement). AFAIK Oblivion doesn’t have this functionality; just received another email regarding an updated version (but there isn’t an obvious theme version # on Envato). Currently have v3.9 installed – Should I just go ahead and deactivate the theme, manually copy over the theme files and reactivate the theme (as is typically the case)? Would prefer auto-update functionality if possible…
