Blog Post

I’m using WPEmatico to post feeds to my blog. My question is how do I get the post to show an image even if it is a default image. I love the layout of the post on the homepage so I do not want to mess they layout up but I would like to see an image for each post even if it is a default image. Would be better if it was specific to the post. Just not sure how to change it I already tried uploading a featured image to the blog page.

See attached you can see the post have no image on the homepage. They still look good though., My main concern is the WPbot does not show any images. Do I need to post a featured image for each post or is there a way to default an image in your theme?
