BuddyPress Registration Entry Into Clan

On our BlackFyre theme installation we want to have users be able to check which clan they want to join on the registration page and then have them automatically be joined to the clan or clans they choose on the registration page.

We are using the following plugins which are in use on our Registration page:

Buddypress
Extended Profile Fields
BuddyPress Group-O-Matic

We have “Groups” created for each clan in the Groups plugin. We create an extended profile field “Select Your Clan” and then use Group-O-Matic to automatically have them placed into that Group. This works properly.

However, we want when they select the clan from the Group above, for them to be automatically joined into the BlackFyre Clans.

If this is not currently feasible or integrated into the Blackfyre theme at this time, is there another way using custom programming to have a user automatically placed in the Blackfyre clan of their choice on registration?
