Clan page as Hompage

It would be nice to set a clan page (home clan) as the homepage of the site, but since the clan pages are posts and not pages actually this is not possible. Why this theme should consider clan pages like posts? We can’t set SEO in this way, and in fact is not a post but is a page, in this way is limited.
The plugin used in this theme is WP-ClanWars and in the WordPress site the author says “every match is a regular post”. Can skywarrior team ask the author to have regular pages insted?
