Game addict install issues

I recently purchased the game addict theme and I am having issues installing it to my wordpress website. I am using fresh install of wordpress version 3.9 and I am wondering if that is the issue. Also when I tried to install the xml file I got a bunch or failed install messages and I don’t understand why. Is it the version or wordpress? Do I need to activate the plugins first? Not sure what the issue is but I included a link to what the website looks like after the install. Nothing like the demo version. Any help would be appreciated.
