Help Finding/Editing Project Backer Template

I am looking to edit the Project Backer template/data so that I can associate the people who back a Project with their accounts instead of having them input their name in a form. I know that things like paypal will be sending a token back with the information from the payment, but those tokens may have a different email associated than the one on the account. Ultimately I am trying to setup a module on their account page listing all of the projects that they have funded for both access to progress and any access to possible digital content that may be set as rewards. I do have a daily backup running so am not worried about breaking things right now.
