Import Demo Install Not Working

Hello,

I just purchased this template, and I am very familiar with WordPress, I run it for many clients on a daily basis.

When I try to import the demo it tells me the following

“To protect your content the demo importer only works when WordPress is fresh installed. Please re-install WordPress with the default settings if you want to import the demo data.”

However, this is a new 100% fresh installed WordPress. I just bought the hosting, I used one click install through hostgator to install it. I then went in through the appearance area, uploaded the gameaddict.zip folder. It installed great, the theme is up live at http://optgaming.com/, however it will not upload the demo items to it.

How do I fix this, I like some of the demo items and I want to customize the site slowly when I have time.
