Php error when pasting in Owl Carousel shortcode on frontpage

Hello!
I setting up the theme on my local server that runs php 7.1 and i’m getting php errors when i’m trying to have a slider on the frontpage with OW carousel.
The error I get is this:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Using $this when not in object context in /var/www/sites/demo/wp-content/themes/arcane/addons/wp-owl-carousel/wp_owl_carousel.php on line 116

And this:

So how to fix this?
