Problems with Homepage (Blog block + Widgetized sidebar)

Hi, it’s me again.

I’d like to have a rather normal homepage: standard blog with slider on the header and sidebar with social functions. But I’m having problems to achieve this. When I try to create this layout in Visual Composer, it looks OK in the Frontend Editor, but when I visualize the created page, the sidebar is displeyed in the footer (???). I’m attaching 2 screenshots, one of the page in Visual Composer, the other of the actual page. This is not happening in standard pages (text + sidebar only).

Any ideas about how to solve this?

In fact I’d be happy with the standard WP layout if I could have the slider in the header there, but I think the only way to have a slider in the header is creating a new page and using the “Homepage” template, right?
