Site Broken – Plugin/Database/Update Problem?

Hello, my website http://www.ascalons.net started having display issues this wednesday the 7th september 2016. The day before everything worked fine and looked like this: http://imgur.com/66njdy9 The other day however it resetted almost every image and content page, not loading the files i uploaded, having display issues with german letters and having tabs and widgets completely missing. I tried the customer support of my host, but at the end more was broken than fixed. This is why I come here for a last resort.

I tried:
– Restoring backup from a day before/week before. Issues stayed the same.
– Restoring the database (However this cause the daily backup to overwrite the changes i did last week, but the issues still persist)

The site is currently in offline mode because it is regulary visited by our community. Help would be very much appreciated. I can grant backend access if needed.
