Slider not working – White background

I seem to be having an issue with the slider where it just has a white background. Additionally, when you click on the post title, the featured image doesn’t even show on the post page either.

I added a slider, set the category to ‘slider.’ Took the slider code and added it to the “front page” which is set to the homepage template.

I created 3 posts with the slider category, set each post with a featured image that I actually got from the demo site as the featured images. All I get is a white background.

Additionally, I tried using the “demo” feature and the demo showed a white background as well, so I’m not sure what’s happening.

Appreciate any help/guidance in order to get this working!
