Visual Composer old?

Hello.
i purchased the crystal skull theme.
but found out that the visual composer included is very old?
the included one is 5.4.7 but the latest is 6.2
i searched this forums only to find the dev saying i will put a new updated version in the next update but thats almost 7 months ago.
any idea when the updated version is supplied? or any update that includes it?
