Author page not working

In most WordPress themes, when you are reading a post and click the hyperlink on the author’s name, it will take you to an author page that shows you all of that author’s recent posts plus a biography (if that’s selected in the user options). 

Ever since we installed this theme, however, the hyperlink doesn’t bring the user to the author page. Any ideas on why this doesn’t work now?
