BP Messaging Ajax

On my site I have a problem with PMs. When a message is sent and the button is pressed more than once. Multiple messages are sent. I only press the button once but impatient other members appear to be pressing it more times as it appears to be doing nothing. Maybe some AJAX loading animation?

Any way of limiting the throttling of such?
