After making a customization package purchase today I realized that there needs to be more pre order information provided and required of users before they place this kind of order. It seems that the customization package is sold just as a plugin would be sold, but without the download available after the purchase. It’s simple and requires nothing but a payment to be made but then it just shows up in your dashboard as a completed transaction.
There is no form fields in the purchasing process to provide information that would allow a install or custom work to be done. There is a small box on the top right corner of the final checkout page just before a user would hit the place order button. This small box is titled as “notes”.
I think this needs to be addressed. There should be form fields in the buying process of custom packages to allow including information that will obviously be required by an installer to perform such tasks.
Such as the website URL
WP login information / Username and password
FTP Client information – Host / Username / PasswordIf theme was purchased at themeforest / your purchase token
There should also be a clear instruction on PHP settings required for install of demo data. This way a user will make the changes prior to ordering.
