Function to exclude a category from SW Latest Posts

Hi there,

Please can you provide me with a function (to add into functions.php) that will allow me to exclude a specific post ID from the SW Latest Posts.

I have a news category that I don’t want showing up in the blog sidebar so even though excluding the entire category would be epic, I don’t mind doing it for a few (and infrequent) posts manually.
