HTTP ERROR 500

    I installed WordPress, uploaded the theme folder into the themes directory (which I have done just fine before). When I activate the theme, I get an “HTTP ERROR 500” page and my entire WordPress site crashes, forcing me to remove the theme or reinstall WordPress. Suggestions?
