Irregular thumbnail size – "Hot News" section

Hello,

I’m having difficulty setting the thumbnail size for the Skywarrior theme – i.e. in the “Hot News” section. For some reason, the theme likes to use a very tall rectangle and no matter what I do to resize the image for the thumbnail, it comes out elongated, distorting the thumbnail.

For example, I’ve tried 150×150 images for thumbnails but it still displays it in a squished, tall rectangle.

Is there a way that I can change the thumbnail display so that it is as close (or ideally, exact) to a perfect square shape?
