issues with installation of Blackfyre

hey, having some issues with the new Blackfyre. im using WordPress 4.1.1

If i use this method : Appearance -> Add New Themes -> Upload i get the following :

Caption says : WordPress Failure Notice

then a box on the screen :

Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again.

Manually copying the files via FTP and activating the theme results in just a white page and i cant access the admin area anymore. i have to delete the theme to reset it to a stock theme to get it working again.

edit : couldnt find a Blackfyre category on the support forums so i posted here instead.
