margin problem

Hello,

I have a problem with the theme, as you can see on the enclosed image. 

I have absolutely no margin. I would like to change this to have a result like in the 2nd picture. Please let me know the step by step procedure to get to this.

Ps: when I enter the license code for the auto update of layerslider, WP sayts: Your purchase code Does not APPEAR to be valid. I have no other code. Could you also please clarify this? Thank you.
