Moving or integrating bbpress into main page

So in the theme, I can click on the link in the header to go to the forum, ideally what i’d like to do is to extract the forum with some sort of shortcode to place it on the main page with sidebar widgets etc. I want the forum to be the main focus.

I found the shortcode [bbp-forum-index] however, I’m not sure where to place it for the main page in magazine format
