Parallax block – layers?

I might be missing something here, but with parallax blocks, how do I add animated layers?

The demo has one for Battlefield 4 but when I go to add a block via the pagebuilder it doesn’t seem to have the option for added layers. I’m guessing I could do it via layerslider but that might be fiddly.

Another thing I was curious about was whether I can have a parallax block interrupting a news block, if that makes sense. So I could have 5 items in the newsblock, then a parallax block, then another 5 items – without having to add newsblock, parallax, news block in page builder.
