Project highlight widget & subscriber accounts

Hello,

I’m using the Project highlight widget on the start page to show different staff picked projects.
This works fine when I’m logged in with an admin account.
However while surfing the website as a normal subscriber, the Project highlight widget only displays the loading animation.
I’ve looked into the code and found the following line in the footer.php file:
var ajaxurl ='<?php echo esc_url(home_url()); ?>/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php';
Is this maybe the reason the widget only works when I’m logged in as an admin?
I can’t currently test the website without an account, so I don’t know if it works if you’re browsing the site as a guest.
