Shortcode block in Page Builder — broken?

Because the newsblocks don’t behave in a way that I can use to build the feeds, I bought a plugin from someone that would let me insert shortcodes to create what I needed (news, features, reviews feeds, etc w/ multiple categories). However both the text and shortcode blocks appear to be broken because nothing is being generated in the Page Builder. The plugin is Fancy News 

I know the code works because I can embed the shortcode directly into the main page and it’ll load fine. But it doesn’t load when embedded into the text or shortcode block of the Page Builder.

Edit: Newsblock – Blog style seems to have an error, too. It shows the most recent 6 posts no matter what settings I set it at. Also http://castlefanatica.com/page/2/ shows the same thing as page 1.
