Social Media Settings – Email – Appends Protocol on mail

Good day

Issue Summary:

When configuring an email address through Arcane theme settings -> social media
The configured address appears correct in config:

However, when clicking the email icon from the website page, a protocol is being appended over and above the “mailto:” protocol as seen in below screenshot

As a result, a user need to edit the “To” field when their email client opens.

Some possibly useful information:
I have just completed the upgrade from 2.4.1 to 2.6.1 including WordPress update to 5.0.2 and all other plugins also updated. No issues on site functionality wise so far, just this problem with this “new” field.
