WPBakery Front-End Editor Not Working

When I go to use the front-end editor all I see is a grayed menu bar with the WPBakery logo in the middle; none of the items on the menu are clickable and there is no indication that pages are loading. This occurs for editing any page as well as creating a new team (which is prevented from working as a result of this).

As an aside, no default page templates were imported with the demo data.
